The Renaissance is well-known for its unexpected design inspired by the local culture. Its second Bali property is another perfect example to its vernacular visual aesthetics. From the beautiful lobby to the stylish rooms, the resort takes its guests on a cultural journey that reflects the spirit of the neighbourhood.

The Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort, which recently opened in December 2021 as the 59th Marriott property in Indonesia, is perched on the hills above Nusa Dua, of one the most expensive addresses on the Island famously known for its collection of high-end hotels. The dramatic landscape is superbly complemented by its culturally rich design. Under the supervision of P49 Deesign (known for its meticulous design work for JW Marriott Jaipur, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Muscat, and W Retreat Koh Samui), the newly opened resort source its design inspiration from the Balinese cultural treasures and beautiful nature.

Entering the R Bar, guest can discover the ‘Good versus Evil’ murals and prints. At the ballroom, a charming dance performance pattern adorns the backdrop. In an ode to the richness of Balinese culture, all the guest rooms and suites are beautifully decorated with Balinese mask patterns on the ceiling, a modern invention of ‘Balinese dancer’s head’ gobo light, and turquoise-accented walls for a sense of calm.

“Nusa Dua has long been a spirited and sought-after enclave in Bali, surrounded by natural beauty, culture, and history,” said Catherine Flint, Director, Global Brand Management, Renaissance Hotels. “We are thrilled
