Flavourful Creation
Indonesia’s first authentic craft distillery, Spice Islands Distilling Co., held the launch party of its award-winning East Indies Archipelago Dry Gin last March. Taking place at John Hardy Boutique and Gallery in Seminyak, the party celebrated the inception of the distillery’s latest signature creation. East Indies Archipelago Dry Gin is a marriage between European gin craftmanship and the treasures of the archipelago. Crafted with handmade German Carl stills, the gin is an exotic blend of juniper berries and flavourful Indonesian botanicals. Torch ginger flowers or kecombrang lend hints of citrusy notes, while andaliman Batak pepper add a warm touch to the blend, resulting in a smooth, light floral gin with balanced flavour. Naturally, guests had the opportunity to spend the joyful evening while tasting the gin under a cool Balinese sky.
