Tatler Indonesia

Dress Up and Make Up

- Bureau Chief

eptember is always a special month for those fashion lovers among you. This is because it means a bumper issue brimming with style ideas, tips, tricks and gorgeous photo shoots that will leave you drooling over the pages. Well, not literally, I hope—it spoils the pages! But this issue does see us visit the autumn/winter catwalk shows in New York, London, Paris and Milan, and showcase the very best collections direct from the runways.

Meanwhile, on our cover, we feature Cindy Angelina Adranacus, a beautiful, young and daring lady who is living the life we all dream about: making money out of her passion in life and loving what she’s doing. A fashion maven and beauty enthusiast, Cindy has recently created the first local vegan cosmetics line, which debuted in July. Don’t forget: you read it here first.

Of course, in our expanded style section, we also serve you the latest news from the fashion and beauty industries, including marvellous make-up picks to match your autumn looks this season. We also take a spectacular trip to Sudan, which may not be near the top of your must-visit list, but do read the story: it’s more than likely that we will be able to change your minds.

All that said, there is a serious side to life and we must never be too focused on what can be superficial subjects. As always, Indonesia Tatler takes its commitment to giving back to society seriously, and this is reflected in this issue’s story on a major UNICEF initiative to help unfortunate children in remote areas of the country. Needless to say, we do hope that this inspires you, our kind-hearted readers, to make positive changes in your own lives and thus in others’ lives too. After all, you reap what you sow.

We’ve left one of our tastiest treats this issue until last. September sees us dine in style with the General Manager of Etihad Airways, Iwan Kip, and his spouse Natascha. The location? None other than one of Jakarta’s most palatial eateries, Tugu Kunstkring Paleis. Bon appetit and have a lovely month!
