Painter Haryanto Gunawan held a solo exhibition entitled “Spirits [e]motions” at Ciputra Artpreneur in Jakarta. The exhibition was officiated by Minister of Industry Mr Airlangga Hartarto, hosted by Mr Deddy Kusuma and Ms Rina Ciputra, and curated by Mr Eddy Soetriyono, Mr Aminudin TH Siregar, and Ms Sally Texiana.

Atrip to the lounge would be a gift in itself, but if you’re looking to present a singular stunning bottle as an unforgettable gift, we recommend something extravagant that will wow even the most discriminating connoisseur, or make a truly special addition to your personal collection. Enter The Macallan M. Known as the most luxurious whisky in the world, this magnificent spirit sits at the pinnacle of The Macallan range of ultrapremium luxury single-malt whiskies known as the Macallan 1824 Masters Series.

M is the iconic result of an unprecedented collaboration between three masters of their crafts—creative director and legendary designer Fabien Baron, the world’s best crystal maker Lalique, and, of course, The Macallan.

Fashioned in the highest-grade crystal, each handcrafted M decanter unites proven tradition with originality, drawing on more than 150 years of Lalique mastery and dedication in its refinement and flawless clarity. Its six striking facets are Baron’s homage to The Macallan’s Six Pillars.

Drawing on some of the richest and rarest casks maturing at the distillery, this complex and intense whisky includes Macallan distilled in 1940. With a rich rosewood colour derived from the sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks, M delivers a complexity and sumptuous intensity rarely experienced in a single malt.

When you lift the glass to your nose, you will sense dried fruits ripen then soften. Vanilla accompanies green apple hand in hand, while ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon create an ensemble in the background with strong notes of polished oak and a depth of resinous, juicy oranges. The palate opens rich in wood spices, slowly showing all their viscosity. Woodsmoke flits in and out. Complex layers of woodiness, spiciness, dark fruitiness, even a little candy sweetness dance across your tongue.

Long after you’ve emptied your glass, the long, velvety finish full of dried dark fruit like raisins and sultanas lingers on, meandering to a long and full finish. Available at wine and spirits outlets in Jakarta.
