Indonesia’s hard work for the 2018 Asian Games is recognised

-

After the stunning success of the 2018 Jakarta-palembang Asian Games, Indonesia was presented with the OCA Award from the Asian Olympic Council (OCA). Chair of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) Erick Thohir represented Indonesia and was presented with the award in Bangkok by the President of OCA, Sheik Ahmad Al Falah Al Sabah. The 18th Asian Games was the second-largest sporting event in the world after the Olympics and thrust Indonesia onto the world stage—some 864 news agencies and media from 44 Asian countries and 12 countries outside Asia covered the events. All involved with the preparation and planning of the Asian Games understand that Indonesia’s achievements in the limited time it had were truly impressive, and this award only solidifies the optimistic belief that Indonesia is worthy of, and deserves to be, the host of the upcoming 2032 Olympics.
