A new way to view the beauty of Lake Toba

-

A new nomadic escape has been opened in the famous North Sumatran Lake Toba province, boasting unparalleled views of the scenic and cultural wonders that are synonymous with the tourist hotspot. The Kaldera Toba Nomadic Escape lies some 1,600 metres above sea level on the edge of the expansive Lake Toba on 2 hectares of fresh, green pine forest. It offers breathtaking views of the world’s biggest volcanic lake, coupled with scenic views of the traditional Sigapiton village in the valley. “This spot is the answer to our urgent need for a high-quality tourist facility at Lake Toba,” said Indonesian Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya. The opening of the tourism spot is part of the government’s moves to accelerate development in four super-prioritised destinations this year. The other locations are Mandalika in Lombok, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara, and Borobudur in Central Java.
