Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique’s 18th anniversary celebration will be held in Ubud this month
On june 28, the chris Salans Group is planning a special gala dinner event to celebrate the 18th anniversary of its distinguished Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique, which is based in Bali’s cultural heart of Ubud. In partnership with Indonesia Tatler, Chef Chris and his team will present a “Dinner Spectacle”—an evening of wine, dining, and live entertainment— to commemorate the founding of the restaurant in 2001 and to celebrate its success with a special programme of cuisine plus entertainment by international choreographer and performer Jasmine Obuko and her group Kita Poleng.
The evening will begin with an anniversary champagne and cocktail party with canapés, live performances, a cake-cutting ceremony, and a short speech by Chef Chris. More than 100 food and beverage industry players and media influencers will be invited to attend this opening ceremony. The evening will then continue with a theatrical dinner spectacle in which live performances will be paired with the dishes of the evening. The dinner will be a six-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings, and Chef Chris will be in the kitchen himself cooking all-time favourite dishes from the menu from the past 18 years.
Founded in 2001, Mozaic is internationally renowned for its pioneering concept of combining ingredients and flavours from the Indonesian archipelagowith modern French techniques ofpreparation and presentation. This culinary approach has now become a movement in Indonesia, and Chef Chris has become an important mentor for young Indonesian chefs as well as an international ambassador for Indonesian cuisine.
