OCC Jakarta Consulate hosts dinner
The Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne (OCC) Jakarta Consulate, the world’s oldest champagne association with around 4,000 members worldwide, hosted an exclusive champagnepairing dinner at the the Ambrosia Private Club in South Jakarta. The OCC members and their spouses in their best formal attire enjoyed a set of delectable dishes prepared by Chef Mandif Warokka and Chef Hengky Efendy, which were paired with all the best champagnes from around the world.
With Chef Hengky’s hands on the menu, succulent steaks were served from Ambrosia’s Casa de
Carne steakhouse selections. Casa de Carne is the only part of Ambrosia, a membership-only bar and restaurant, that is open for public reservations available on two time slots, with each session lasting for two hours of good food and good live music performances. Meanwhile, Chef Mandif, of the Teatro Gastroteque and BLANCO par Mandif fame, both in Bali, brought his well-honed skills to the table to marry Indonesian and European cuisines. The celebrity chef is also known for appearances at Michelin-star restaurants, Master Chef Indonesia, Hell’s Kitchen Indonesia, and Top Chef Indonesia.
