An exclusive recap of the Gen.t 2019 Indonesia unveiling party
Known for hosting the biggest social event of the year, the Indonesia Tatler Ball, which is always filled with guests from celebrities to diplomats, business leaders, society darlings, and much more, Indonesia Tatler never disappoints when it comes to throwing seriously extravagant parties.
The Generation T (Gen.t) 2019 Indonesia unveiling was no different. It also kicked off a series of events that will eventually lead to the very first Generation T Asia Summit, which will take place in Hong Kong in November. Moreover, this is also the first time for Indonesia Tatler and seven other Tatler titles across Asia, including Thailand, China, the Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, to publish their lists in one bumper book.
The country’s 50 best and brightest aged under 40 showed up in dazzling attire. All were ready to strike
a pose in front of our Gen.t wall of fame ahead of an exclusive dinner at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta’s Pelataran Ramayana along with the “Tribe” members who handpicked them. Meanwhile, Tamara Lamunière, Head of Generation T Asia, gave a welcome speech to celebrate the groundbreaking achievements of these young leaders who are putting Indonesia on the global map, such as celebrity make-up artist Archangela Chelsea, Aakar Abyasa Fidzuno, Co-founder of Jouska, and Edy Sulistyo, CEO of Loket. com, all of whom were given their very own personalised cover of this year’s inaugural edition of the region-wide Generation T magazine.
Following last year’s partnership, Gen.t Indonesia once again announced that it would establish a CSR programme with the Pansophia Nusantara Foundation to focus on education for children. The Gen.t honourees will share their knowledge and skills with the underprivileged children, from age 2 to 7 years old, that Pansophia is educating at schools and learning centres. Then, after the dinner, the event continued on an even better note as the honourees were joined by their friends, families, and more from Indonesia’s past two years of Gen.t, to witness the year’s list unveiling displayed specially on a 10-metrelong exhibition.
