Meet the inspiring people gracing the covers of our regional titles

The cover story features art collector, curator and gallerist Shanyan Koder, who reveals how she’s shaking up the art world with a new e-commerce platform. Also profiled are actress Zhang Ziyi; industrial designer Marc Newson; and James Louey, who shows off his “bat cave.”

New York is the backdrop for the Bold Issue, with Mae Tan and twins Brandon and Julien Leo gracing the cover. The Leos are studying at New York University, while Mae will be moving to the city soon to push herself “completely out of her comfort zone.”

The third edition of the Generation T List adds 30 names to our community of extraordinary individuals shaping Asia’s future. On the cover are five young leaders from the 2019 list: Abhi Veerakumarasivam, Mohd Azizulhasni Awang, Ivanna Salehudin, Eric Cheng and Renard Siew.

Five new Generation T honourees grace the cover: chef Paul Lee of Michelin-starred Impromptu; Social Enterprise Insights co-founder Sunny Lin, Legacy Lab International art director Ivan Liu, Wemo Scooter founder Jeffrey Wu and fashion designer Jamie Wei Huang.

On the cover are five young leaders who are joining this year’s 50 Generation T honourees from the Philippines and 350 others from across the region. Also featured are some of the brightest students from the International School Manila’s Class of 2019.

At her home in the suburbs of Paris, Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, the second daughter of King Rama X and an icon in the making for her generation, talks of her aspirations as a fashion designer, equestrian and patron of the arts.
