Imbued with Invention, hatsumi Yoshida’s designs enliven lives

Famed for turning natural refurbished materials into collections of stunning dresses and accessories, Japanese fashion designer Hatsumi Yoshida held an extraordinary fashion show at the Jakarta residence of HE Kazuo Sunaga, the Japanese ambassador to ASEAN. With Hatsumi’s specialty in using unique materials, this nature enthusiast showcased a collection of special dresses made from materials that are considered as garbage. Consistently turning unconventional materials into wearable dresses, she hoped that this will help the wearer express his or her distinctive personality and character.
