Cementing a strong bilateral relationship

It was a special day when the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Jakarta recently commemorated its 54th National Day, marking the 200 years since Sir Stamford Raffles founded the port city. Held at the Grand Ballroom of the Shangri-la Hotel, Jakarta, a crowd comprising the city’s dignitaries as well as representatives of both countries were spotted enjoying friendly conversations and banter. Anil Kumar Nayar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore, expressed his deepest appreciation and gratitude for his country’s close relationship with Indonesia and their mutual support over almost two centuries.
