Hublot’s new partnership to honour modern women’s roles in society

Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot, in collaboration with Marc Ferrero, the genius behind the “Storytelling Art” exhibition, have finally unveiled the much-awaited Big Bang One Click Marc Ferrero. The collaborative piece by the watchmaker and the artist is an homage to women of the 21st century who distinguish themselves through their multiple roles: wives, mothers, friends, lovers, businesswomen, femme fatales, fashion icons, or even night owls. For every hour of the day, modern women set themselves apart as unpredictable, multifaceted, and unique, making them the heroines of modern times.

Hublot and Marc Ferrero have cultivated the art of exploration in their respective fields with fusion as the guiding principle. “When I am asked, ‘What innovative and modern ideas are developed in your painting?’, without hesitation I answer, ‘Fusion’,” Marc Ferrero said. “Just as a film director uses special effects to tell a story, I use different graphic styles of cubism, impressionism, surrealism, figurative, and many others on the same plane or over my work, which will always be an extremely exciting challenge for me.”

For Hublot, it is an unexpected blend of rare and innovative materials; meanwhile, for Marc, as an artist and a friend of the brand, it is the combination of different graphic styles on such a small device. It was therefore natural for their innovative spirits to find a shared expression with watchmaking as a vehicle for art. A story of timeless adventures is embodied by the Big Bang One Click Marc Ferrero timepiece, which is also a flagship announcement linking to the “Hublot Loves Art” series.

The dial tells the story of the heroines of modern times featuring Lipstick: an iconic work by Marc Ferrero. Enigmatic behind her dark glasses, the subject remains majestic in the face of the unexpected and affirms her femininity, armed with her lipstick. Spinels in shades of red, topaz for the turquoise version, and 42 fine stones decorate the bezel of the new 39mm case, which is adjusted to fully fit feminine wrists. With one touch of its “One Click” patented fastening system, the leather strap makes way for a version in alligator and rubber, adding a touch of sophistication appropriate for the moment. Available in red and turquoise, the special series will be available in 50 copies of each tone.
