TRENDING IN TAIWAN

-

The region’s frequent flyers are spoilt for choice with two luxurious airlines vying for their attention “Born to be luxury, shining like stars”—this is the company slogan of new Taiwanese aviation company Starlux Airlines. Founded by former Eva Air boss Chang Kuo Wei, Starlux has lofty ambitions of becoming the “Emirates of Asia”, a high-end carrier known for its opulent onboard private suites. “We position ourselves as a boutique airline targeting the high-end market. We have introduced the most advanced aircraft models with the latest aviation technology and seats,” said a Starlux representative. The cabins will be designed by BMW’S Designworks Studio, who are apparently cooking up some fantastical designs. Meanwhile, Eva Air continues to impress premium travellers in Taiwan and beyond with its exceptional amenities and consistently strong food and beverage offerings. The airline is one of a handful to still hand out Rimowa amenity kits and serves Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2008 even in business class.
