Tiffany & Co has announced that it has acquired an exceptional D-colour, oval-cut diamond that surpasses 80 carats. Responsibly sourced in Botswana, the stone will be set into a necklace inspired by an archival high-jewellery necklace that premiered at the 1939 World’s Fair. The finished piece will be showcased in 2022 to celebrate the brand’s fully renovated Fifth Avenue flagship in New York City, and is expected to be the most expensive diamond ever offered by the jewellery house, next to the famous 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond worn by Lady Gaga at the 2019 Oscars.
