United launches first B787-9 flights
UNITED HAS TAKEN DELIVERY of its first B787-9 Dreamliner, which it will launch on its new Los Angeles-Melbourne route on October 26.
At first it will operate on three of the six weekly flights, with the other trio served by the B787-8. From November 16, the route will solely be operated by the B787-9.
United has configured the wifi-enabled B787-9 with 252 seats – 48 in Business First and 204 in economy, including 63 Economy Plus extra-legroom seats.
