-

MALAYSIA AIRLINES WILL LOSE about 30 per cent of its workforce (6,000 of its 20,000 employees) and a number of long-haul routes following the MH370 and MH17 disasters. It will also become completely state-owned.

It is not yet known which European services will go, but it is believed the Frankfurt route is likely. It will also axe a number of destinations in China. The plan is to move the carrier back into profit by 2018.
