Sade: Attacking the Sun

The Musée d’Orsay pays homage to the infamous Marquis de Sade by exhibiting artwork influenced by his writing. Attacking the Sun will address topics including desire, extremes, deviation, the weird and the monstrous, as interpreted by artists such as Goya, Rodin and Picasso. Fernand Khnopff’s Future or a Young Englishwoman (pictured) is among the pieces on show.
