HILTON WORLDWIDE is launching a new lifestyle brand called Canopy by Hilton. The initial 11 properties will be in London and US locations including Miami, Washington DC and San Diego. The first are expected to open next year. HILTON HOTELS AND RESORTS has opened the Hilton Istanbul Kozyatagi, which is situated 29km from Sabiha Gokcen International airport and 38km from Ataturk. STARWOOD will open the Four Points by Sheraton Istanbul Dudullu on Istanbul’s Asian side at the end of the year. INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP last month opened two properties in Portugal – the 331room Intercontinental Lisbon (formerly the Tiara Park Atlantic hotel) and the 232-room Crowne Plaza Porto (previously the Park Atlantic Hotel Porto). EASYHOTEL will open its 20th property on December 1, a 132room hotel in Frankfurt. Rooms start from Ð29 and have air conditioning and showers, with paid extras such as TVs and wifi. TUNE HOTELS has opened the 104-room Tune Hotel Newcastle in the listed Proctor House, 600 metres from Newcastle Central rail station. A fifth London hotel in Canary Wharf is scheduled to open this month. WYNDHAM HOTEL GROUP will open its first property in Ethiopia in the first half of next year. Ramada Addis will be located on a major transport route linking the city centre with Addis Ababa Bole International airport. RADISSON BLU is to open properties in Kampala and Accra. Radisson Blu Kampala is due to open in the Ugandan capital’s business district in the last quarter of 2016. Radisson Blu Hotel Accra airport, the Exchange is set to open in 2017.
