NEW HOME FOR MOSCOW’S GARAGE MUSEUM
MOSCOW’S GARAGE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART has opened in its new Rem Koolhaas-designed home in Gorky Park. The 5,400 sqm building – a reworking of a 1960s Soviet modernist restaurant – holds five exhibition galleries, an auditorium, education space, bookshop and café.
Founded by Dasha Zhukova, wife of Roman Abramovich, the museum’s launch programme includes exhibitions by Germany’s Katharina Grosse, Japan’s Yayoi Kusama (pictured) and Argentina’s Rirkrit Tiravanija. garageccc.com
