YOUR HOME IN THE SKY

-

It’s funny how people can keep telling you what you already knew. For the fifth consecutive year, Melbourne has been named the world’s most liveable city by the Economist Intelligence Unit’s annual survey. Melbourne knew it was great, but it’s about time you found out as well.

When you travel to an award-winning city, do it with an award-winning airline. Qantas was voted Skytrax Best Airline Australia/Pacific for the third year running in 2015, an accolade given by those who know best – its passengers.

Qantas’ daily route from London Heathrow to Melbourne via Dubai on its A380 is the only same-plane service from the UK. It offers four cabins – International Economy, Premium Economy, International Business and First, with award-winning service in each – and if you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer you can earn and use Qantas Points with a wide range of partners such as Emirates, and oneworld carriers including British Airways.

In Premium Economy, the menu is inspired by Qantas consulting chef and leading Australian restaurateur Neil Perry. On board, relax in your slimline seat, designed to provide more comfort.

International Business customers will enjoy the A380’s onboard lounge and two-metre fully flat Skybeds complete with mattress, duvet and turndown service, while First is a world of its own, with 17inch screens and extra-wide beds that include a sheepskin mattress and duvet; plus SK-II amenity kits and sleeper suits.

On board, passengers are attended by Sommeliers in the Sky – cabin crew trained to help you make the best wine choices to complement your meal. It’s some choice, too, because Qantas’ accolades include Best First Class Sparkling Wine and Best Business Class Fortified Wine, as awarded in last year’s Business Traveller Cellars in the Sky awards.

On the ground, eligible First and International Business passengers can arrive in style with Qantas’ complimentary chauffeur transfer service, while at Melbourne Airport, you can relax and unwind before your flight in the Qantas lounge, the perfect place to start your trip.

Qantas provides connections to more than 60 destinations across Australia, including another three of the top-ten liveable cities – Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. Visit qantas.com or download its app for the latest fares and more information on its inflight service.

If you are flying to Melbourne, Qantas’ awardwinning A380 service is the only way to do it
