EUROPE’S FIVE FASTEST GROW­ING AIR­PORTS OF 2017

Business Traveller - - UPFRONT - Data gath­ered in a 2017 re­port from Air­ports Coun­cil In­ter­na­tional Europe, a non-profit or­gan­i­sa­tion rep­re­sent­ing more than 500 air­ports in 45 Euro­pean coun­tries.

Is­tan­bul New Air­port (see p32) is set to be­come Europe’s largest in size, but among ex­ist­ing large Euro­pean air­ports, these yielded the high­est growth rates in pas­sen­ger num­bers from 2016 to 2017.

1. Moscow Shereme­tyevo (SVO)

Pas­sen­gers: 30,443,846 Growth: 17.8%

2. Manch­ester (MAN)

Pas­sen­gers: 27,901,040 Growth: 8.6%

3. Am­s­ter­dam Schiphol (AMS)

Pas­sen­gers: 68,515,425 Growth: 7.7%

4. Moscow Do­mode­dovo (DME)

Pas­sen­gers: 30,657,854 Growth: 7.6%

5. Barcelona (BCN)

Pas­sen­gers: 47,262,826 Growth: 7.1%
