Meet some of the winners of the Business Traveller Awards 2018 at London’s Royal Garden Hotel
The winners of the 2018 Business Traveller Awards
The Business Traveller Awards 2018 were announced at a luncheon at London’s Royal Garden Hotel on October 15. The trophies were presented by special guest Rt Hon Michael Portillo, who regaled the audience with travellers’ tales from behind the scenes of his programmme Great Railway Journeys, as well as political anecdotes from his time as Secretary of State for Employment and then for Defence.
Attendees included Alex Cruz, CEO and chairman of British Airways; Subhas Menon, Singapore Airlines’ regional vice-president Europe; and Delta Air Lines’ Corneel Koster, senior vicepresident EMEA, and Nadia Clinton, country manager UK and Ireland.
Also at the awards were Business Traveller’s editor Tom Otley, publisher Rania Apthorpe and managing director Julian Gregory, as well as writers including Derek Picot, who has chosen his moment to write a column about hospitality awards for this issue (page 75). The attendees were also encouraged to donate generously to provide prizes for our online auction for charity (see page 66), with all proceeds going to the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, which provides care for adults with brain injuries and neurological conditions.
