HEATHROW BEGINS ROLLOUT OF NEW CT SCANNERS

LONDON’S HEATHROW AIRPORT is spending £50 million on introducing new security scanners that will allow passengers to leave laptops and liquids in their bags. The machines use computed tomography (CT) to create more detailed images – and remove a classic passenger pain point while doing so. Heathrow expects the rollout to be complete by 2022.
