SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL

Some time back I was told that my British Airways New York-London flight would be operated by Air Belgium, as a number of BA planes were being overhauled. BA gave me the option to switch flights, but I wanted to keep an open mind. That said, I hadn’t heard of Air Belgium and was a little perturbed to see it had a fleet of only four planes, albeit pretty new ones. However, I have just landed after what was probably my best flying experience for some years.

The team worked together brilliantly, the attention to detail was obvious from the moment I boarded, the hospitality sincere and the A340 layout excellent. I’d especially like to thank Ashraf, who went above and beyond anything I have experienced. Big is not always beautiful. I was delighted to find a start-up airline showing established players how to do things.
