ASCENT
WIZZ AIR will begin operations from London Luton to Moscow and St Petersburg in October, while December sees flights launch from Edinburgh to Warsaw, Gdansk, Budapest and Bucharest.
Low-cost carrier JAZEERA AIRWAYS will launch daily flights between London Gatwick and Kuwait on October 27, operated by a three-class A320neo.
ETIHAD AIRWAYS will add a fourth daily year-round service between London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi from October 27. It will operate a two-class B787-9 Dreamliner with 271 economy and 28 business seats.
DESCENT
VIRGIN ATLANTIC will drop flights between Gatwick and St Lucia next year, while Gatwick to Antigua will be increased from three to four times weekly.
TAP AIR PORTUGAL will withdraw its routes from London City Airport to Porto and Lisbon on October 26. The carrier said Brexit had caused “uncertainties in demand”.
NORWEGIAN will drop all transatlantic routes from Ireland after September 15. Flights had run from Shannon, Cork and Dublin. The low-cost carrier blamed the grounding of the B737 Max.
