NEW ROUTE: SARAJEVO
FLY BOSNIA LAUNCHED FLIGHTS
from London Luton to Sarajevo on September 24, operating three services per week with A319 aircraft; this is set to increase to daily over the next 12 months. The formerly war-torn capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina still displays vestiges of the sieges but the city is undergoing rapid reconstruction, offering visitors a picturesque landscape of minarets, Turkish bazaars and wooden houses at the foot of Mount Trebevic. Dubbed the “Jerusalem of Europe” thanks to its rich religious history, the city combines Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture. Connections to the Middle East are also helping to boost the city’s business credentials, bridging the gap between east and west.
