Marriott Hotels opens in Buenos Aires

THE MARRIOTT HOTELS BRAND

has returned to Argentina for the first time since 2013 with the opening of the Buenos Aires Marriott. The 298-room hotel is located on the city’s 9 de Julio Avenue and features a 23rd-floor club lounge and spa with a 24-hour gym and outdoor terrace, as well as La Luciernaga restaurant for Argentine and Mediterranean cuisine, and an Irish bar.

The existing property formerly traded as the Hotel Panamericano Buenos Aires but has undergone “extensive conversion” works to bring it up to Marriott Hotels brand standards. Marriott International also has two Sheraton properties in the Buenos Aires area as well as the five-star Park Tower, part of its Luxury Collection.
