Airport of the future
GLOBAL DESIGN FIRM Fentress Architects has revealed the winners of the 2020 Fentress Global Challenge, in which students across the world were asked to submit their visions for an airport terminal building in the year 2100. The competition saw more than 100 entries from over 15 countries, with first place awarded to Nikhil Bang and Kaushal Tatiya from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. “The Green Gateway” transforms Indira Gandhi International airport into a zero-emission, highly sustainable multimodal hub “that mitigates the environmental impacts of air travel while enhancing mobility across New Delhi”. fentressglobalchallenge.com
