ALEX CRUZ STEP DOWNS AS BRITISH AIRWAYS CEO

INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES GROUP (IAG) has announced that Alex Cruz has stepped down as the boss of British Airways after less than five years in the role. Aer Lingus chairman and CEO Sean Doyle, who previously spent two decades at BA, has replaced Cruz as chief executive of British Airways. Doyle will also take over Cruz’s role as chairman “after a transition period.” Cruz will remain as non-executive chairman.
