Jason Smith, Inmarsat
Global mobile satellite communications services provider Inmarsat has appointed Jason Smith as chief operations officer (COO), replacing Ruy Pinto who is leaving to “pursue new interests”.
Smith joins from Rolls-royce, where he has held a number of roles, including his most recent position as COO of its nuclear business. Before joining Rolls Royce, Smith spent nine years at the UK’S AWE having began his career with British Nuclear fields.
“The wealth of experience Jason brings will make a vital contribution to Inmarsat’s success at an exciting juncture in the transformation of the company,” said Insmarsat CEO Rupert Pearce.
