JANUARY BLUES? NOT AT FREDERIQUE CONSTANT
Three cheers for Frédérique Constant, which is celebrating a very happy new year after reporting record sales figures for the first half of 2014. Year-on-year growth compared to the same period in 2013 shows a spectacular 26 per cent spike. The brand, whose proposition is ’Accessible Luxury’, aims to “create Swiss Made, high quality and innovative watches at sensible prices,” says Peter Stas, founder and CEO of Frédérique Constant. He adds: “We have seen a significant increase in activity across most of our regions in 2014. With our Accessible Luxury positioning, we have been gaining market share in the US$ 1,000 to 5,000 segment. Frédérique Constant grew strongly in Japan, South Korea, Australia United States and Canada.” The brand’s winning strategy includes new launches similar as the Index Automatic Pair collection, a competitively priced range aimed at couples that features a men’s and women’s watch identically styled in stainless steel and yellow gold. Here’s hoping 2015 brings everyone such good fortune.
