Plaza Watch International - - Baselworld 2015 -

What does Baselworld mean to you personally and professionally, and how do you prepare for it?

Baselworld is a moment of encounter and exchange between brands, professionals from the industry, media, and suppliers. This is the time when all this market meets to assess the new creations from the brands, a moment that materialises and confronts the market with the desirability and the demand in a professional environment. It is also the perfect place to understand the competitive position of others and their differences. How do I prepare for it? With a lot of practice, just like before a sporting event or a marathon!

What is one of your favourite memories from any of the previous Baselworld fairs?

Twenty years ago, our very first Baselworld, when we had to build our small booth in one day with Bruno Belamich, my partner and co-founder of Bell & Ross. That year, in terms of profitability, we managed to get 100 times our investment compared to the cost of our booth.
