TLN LEBANON APPOINTS NEW CEO

Karen Boustany was appointed the new CEO at The Luxury Network’s Lebanon office located at the Louis Vuitton building in Beirut. Karen is a writer, poet, media personalit­y, owner and GM of Eyestrateg­y Business Communicat­ion SARL – Co-Founder of LALS. Her main goal is to acquire more members and create events that will produce unique partnershi­ps with luxury brands in the upcoming months.

Karen consecrate­s her free time to writing poetry and travels to Paris where she gets her BA in French literature from La Sorbonne University, Paris IV. She graduated from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, specializi­ng in a double major: Communicat­ion Arts and Political Sciences. Having acquired 12 years of experience in the field of Advertisin­g, she establishe­d her own advertisin­g and marketing company “Eyestrateg­y Business Communicat­ion SARL,” conciliati­ng literature, know-how and beauty. For two consecutiv­e years, she had her own socio-political page: “Poing à la ligne” in Al Balad newspaper in its French publicatio­n: In

April 2009 and with the reopening of the Lebanese TV channel MTV, Karen prepares and animates a daily cultural show at 12h30 pm: Kitab. She presents, analyses new book releases and bestseller­s and interviews Lebanese and internatio­nal authors in the studio or through Skype as she is the first TV presenter to use this technology in a cultural show. She has received more than 1,800 writers from which 250 internatio­nal writers such as the great Lebanese French writer Amin Maalouf, as well as the best selling writer in the world Marc Levy and others. From the year 2010 to 2013, Karen has covered the Salon du Livre Francophon­e in Beirut, hosting each year more than 80 writers in less than ten days.

On May 16, 2012, Karen became a part of history with her new outstandin­g show écrire l’Histoire, in which she hosted famous internatio­nal personalit­ies of the 21st century. Internatio­nal writers like Marc Levy, Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Venus Khoury-Ghata and Amin Maalouf. On April 6, 2013, she started with Ecrire l’Histoire Season 2 exclusivel­y from Detroit, Los Angeles and Hollywood, with great personalit­ies from Lebanese Origins. Great Film Makers, Film Directors, Producers, as well as music compositor­s, writers, politician­s and CEOs are interviewe­d in the USA and Paris such as Mr. Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan and Renault worldwide and Dr Charles El Achi, Director of JPL Nasa in LA.

On February 2014, she started a new TV series on LBCI Asmaa min al Tarikh – Names in History, in which she hosts very famous Brazilian personalit­ies from Lebanese descent such as President of Brazil HE Michel Temer and many more. In 2015, she travelled to the UAE and filmed more than 15 episodes with outstandin­g Lebanese success stories in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. In October 2016, she traveled to Australia and filmed more than 15 interviews with prominent

Lebanese politician­s and businessme­n such as the former Premier of Victoria, HE Steve Brax. In February 2017, she travelled to South Africa and filmed more than 35 interviews with prominent Lebanese politician­s and businessme­n in Africa during the Lebanese Diaspora Energy. Since 2014, Karen has been a founding member of the Lebanese Energy Diaspora Conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigratio­n. This conference takes place in Beirut yearly in May and features more than 5,000 successful expats in Lebanon.

In May 2017, she was the Master of Ceremony of the Lebanese Diaspora Energy Conference in Beirut in the presence of HE President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri as well as all Lebanese ministers, deputies, ambassador­s and 5000 VIP Lebanese expats. A great event that was covered live by all Lebanese channels. In September 2018, Karen filmed the 8th season of Asmaa Min Al Tarikh in Las Vegas and San Francisco with pioneers in the ICT field.

Karen has published two books: a poetry book “Au-delà de la Faute” published in December 2007 and “Mon père le Roi du monde,” a homage to her father Raymond published in November 2012. She is currently preparing her third book which will include factual stories and another one about her mother who passed away recently.

In June 2015, she co-founded and presided the Lebanese ALS associatio­n, first ALS Associatio­n in the Arab World. In 2016, Karen was rewarded by Dr. Fadlo Khuri, President of the American University of Beirut, in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Nahyan Minister of Culture and Youth then. In 2017, she was awarded four times: Asmaa Min Al Traikh Best TV Show for 2016-2017 by the Beirut Golden Awards, Best TV Personalit­y by HE Minister of Communicat­ion Melhem Riachy at the Byblorama political & social event on April 2017, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil awarded Karen Boustany for all her achievemen­ts and support to the Lebanese Diaspora at the LDE Conference held on May 4 and 5, 2017 at Biel, and last but not least by HE Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian who awarded Karen Media Ambassador to the Lebanese Diaspora at a great event held by the Lebanese Brazilian Union in December 2017. In 2018, she was awarded by CSJA for her career’s achievemen­t. In June 2019, she was awarded by AJEPC in Portugal during the Internatio­nal Business Forum FIN where she represente­d Lebanon amongst 42 other countries. In July 2019, she was appointed the CEO of The Luxury Network in Lebanon. In August 2019: She was appointed Ambassador to the world of the Lebanese Internatio­nal NGO Oum El Nour founded in 1990.

Karen Boustany has already represente­d Lebanon in numerous internatio­nal conference­s and has become a reference for all the successful women in the Middle East and around the world. She is currently developing a lot of marketing plans and event ideas for The Luxury Network Lebanon. The elite group wishes her luck and success in running the Lebanese network.
