THE LUXURY NETWORK APPOINTS ADEL AREF AS ITS GLOBAL AMBASSADOR

-

Chief of Staff to the President of Paris Saint Germain / Responsible of Carré

Adel Aref, a “very discreet man occupying the function of chief of staff of the president of the PSG” was in charge of the Carré du Parc. On the hunting board of Adel Aref and PSG: Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Rihanna, Leonardo Di Caprio, or more recently Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell, basketball player Stephen Curry, or Robin Wright, the star actress of the successful series House of Cards.

Adel Aref has a very nice address book. If Beyoncé or Jay-Z came to watch a match (PSG-FC Barcelona, in 2017).

The square becomes the equivalent of a general theater, a new starred restaurant or a trendy boutique, the whole of Paris is rushing there. For very big matches, like those of the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain sometimes records more than 800 requests. Two fulltime employees study them, sort them out, and solicit other potential guests.

Adel Aref, a 35-year-old Tunisian, who does not appear on any official organization chart, supervises their work. Friend and chief of staff of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, this former international tennis referee has officiated in several finals of grand slam tournaments, at Roland Garros or Wimbledon.

Upgrading

Adel Aref is very discreet nonetheless he has the upper hand on the delicate mission of managing the invitations, this thirty-nine-yearold Tunisian, former international tennis referee and above all chief of staff of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi (who keeps an eye on the guest list and placement). Requests exceed a capacity that was increased from 146 to 242 places two years ago.

The job also consists, conversely, of courting world stars whose presence and relays on social networks will contribute to the conquest of global brand awareness.

Enter here, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Robin Wright or Leonardo Di Caprio. National stars still have their place - Patrick Bruel, Jamel Debbouze, Francis Huster, Gérard Darmon - but some have fallen by the wayside, such as Enrico Macias or Jean-Paul Belmondo.

Today it is a place of global marketing.

Career as an international tennis referee

Adel Aref started playing tennis in London at a young age, and upon his return to Tunisia at the age of 10, he was registered with the Tennis Club of Tunis.
