Iran’s veteran cinematographer Heidari dies at 62
Iran’s veteran cinematographer Farajollah Heidari, who collaborated with prominent directors Mohsen Makihmalbaf, Iraj Qaderi and Behrooz Afkhami, died of cardiac arrest at the age of 62.
Born on 1956 in Tehran, he began his cinematic work as assistant cinematographer in ‘Koochemardha’ (1970) by Saeed Motallebi, ISNA wrote.
He was the cinematographer of a number of films including ‘Taraj’ (1985), ‘Swan Song’ (2000), ‘Sam o Nargess’ (2000), ‘Karnaval-e Marg’ (2009), ‘Life with Closed Eyes’ (2010), ‘Birthplace’ (2009) and ‘Parkway’ (2007).
His contribution in terms of cinematography in ‘Death Carnival’ by Habibollah Kasesaz and Reza Azamian in 2008 was his final cinematic work.
