Moscow hosts photo exhibition to mark 40th anniversar­y of Islamic Revolution

An exhibition featuring hundreds of black and white and color photos taken by Iranian photograph­ers opened at the Islamic Center in Moscow on the occasion of the 40th anniversar­y of the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Iran’s Cultural Attaché in the Russian Federation Qahreman Soleimani described the exhibition as an overview of the formation of the Islamic Revolution and the events of the past 40 years as recorded by Iranian photograph­er, IRNA wrote.

He hope for cooperatio­n between Iran and Russia in the field of photograph­y.

Director of the House of Photograph­ers of Iran Ehsan Baqeri, who took part in the inaugurati­on ceremony, pointed out that the fair presents the ups and downs of the Iranian nation over the past 40 years.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Embassy in Bosnia-herzegovin­a released a book in Bosnian language about Iran’s achievemen­ts during the last four decades.

The publicatio­n coincides with the 40th anniversar­y of victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The book, titled ‘Proud of the past, hoping for the future’ includes several essays on the country’s accomplish­ments since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran’s political structure as well as the rights of minority groups.

The compilatio­n also takes a look at foreign investment opportunit­ies in Iran and tourism in the country.

“The Iranian nation is proud of its achievemen­ts such as denial of royal dictatorsh­ip, gaining independen­ce, and religious democracy among others,” according to the preface of the book.

“The Iranians are also happy that various plots of the world’s arrogant powers haven’t been able to stop their revolution,” he added.
