Two killed in training plane crash in NE Iran

A training ultralight aircraft crashed in the northeastern Khorasan Razavi Province on Friday, killing two people aboard.

The incident occurred at 11:00 p.m. Iranian local time (19:30 GMT), the head of the Public Relations Department of Iran’s Emergency Medical Services, Mohammad Alishahi told IRNA.

The crash was reportedly caused by mechanical failure, and the pilot and the pilot cadet died on the spot.
