General: Iran has Mideast’s most secure air borders
Iran has the most secure aerial frontiers in the entire Middle East region, said the deputy commander of the Iranian Air Defense.
General Alireza Elhami said in a military meeting in the western Iranian province of Hamedan that the Islamic Republic’s Air Defense units have achieved such capabilities that it has currently the most secure aerial borders in the Middle East, Tasnim News Agency reported.
He noted that the military forces of Iran have a thorough control over all moves and measures by the enemies even kilometers beyond the country’s borders.
The Iranian forces have manufactured homemade radars using advanced modern technologies, which can monitor every hostile move very well, the general added.
Last October, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, Brigadier General Amir-ali Hajizadeh, said Iran is one of the world’s top 10 manufacturers of military radars.
He added the new radars, produced by the IRGC Aerospace Force, are capable of detecting stealth aircraft within a range of 350 kilometers and all other targets within a distance of above 1,000 kilometers.
