‘Asma-ul Husna’ typography exhibition opens in Tehran

-

The 17th annual typography exhibition of ‘Asma-ul Husna’ (Beautiful Names of God) opened at the Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran, on Wednesday.

Over 700 works were submitted to the secretariat of the exhibition, 60 of which were selected to go on display at the event, according to Ali Vazirian, the secretary of the exhibition.

A special category at this year’s exhibition features artworks inspired by the names of Hazrat Fatemeh (PBUH), the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), added Vazirian.

There was no opening ceremony for the event due to a fourth wave of coronavirus infections in the country, but Vazirian is hopeful that the closing ceremony, during which the winners will be awarded, will be held as planned on May 12.

Photographs of the works will be released on the exhibit’s official Instagram page in the coming days.
