Poland’s Kraków Film Festival to screen Iran’s ‘Khoniyar’s Children’
Iranian documentary ‘Khoniyar’s Children,’ directed by Arman Qolipour-dashtaki, is slated to take part in the 61st Kraków Film Festival (Krakowski Festiwal Filmowy) in Poland, from May 30 to June 6.
The documentary narrates the story of four siblings, who are all over 70 and never married, ifilmtv.com reported.
They are all isolated and live together as the villagers shun them because they believe the four of them are ominous and bring bad luck for the residents of the village.
The documentary was previously nominated for the Best Short Documentary Award at the 18th Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the US.
It also grabbed the Best Documentary and Editing awards at the 37th Tehran Short Film Festival.
The Kraków Film Festival is one of Europe’s oldest events dedicated to documentary, animation, and other short film forms.
