France Islamic Center holding competitions on Qur’anic teachings
The Islamic Center of France is holding a competition on Qur’anic teachings in the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the center’s website, there are four contests for the four weeks of the holy month, IQNA reported.
Participants answer 20 multiple-choice questions about Qur’an’s concepts and teachings and the occasions of the month.
Everyone interested from all over the world can take part in the competitions, which are held virtually via the center’s website, Instagram and Telegram channel. Winners will be awarded cash prizes at the end of the holy month. Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar. It is a period of prayer, fasting, charity giving and self–accountability for Muslims around the world.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.
They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Qur’an.
