Hosseini, Pourqaz, Faraji, Gholampour banned over Iran league incidents
Persepolis defenders Seyyed Jalal Hosseini and Farshad Faraji, as well as Sepahan center-back Ezzatollah Pourqaz and Esteghlal goalkeepers coach Behzad Gholampour were handed bans by the Disciplinary Committee of Iran Football Federation over incidents in a couple of Persian Gulf Pro League matches.
Hosseini and Pourqaz will be banned for one match apiece for being at the heart of a row, which was drawn into the locker-room area, after the final whistle in the 1-1 draw between the top two sides in the league in Isfahan on May 9.
Faraji, meanwhile, will have to serve a two-match suspension after being involved in a rift in the closing stages of the game between archrivals Persepolis and Esteghlal on May 14, which saw Reds defender receive his marching orders.
Esteghlal coach Gholampour will also be banned for two games for his part in the quarrel.
Additionally, the Disciplinary Committee ruled that Persepolis and Sepahan will have to square off in the league in neutral venues next season due to multiple incidents in the corresponding fixture over the previous seasons.
