Broad­en­ing De­fense Co­op­er­a­tion

FARS* - Ira­nian De­fense Min­is­ter Bri­gadier Gen­eral Amir Hatami in a meet­ing with Com­man­der in Chief of Bo­livia’s Armed Forces Ad­mi­ral Yamil Oc­tavio Borda Sosa un­der­lined his coun­try’s will­ing­ness to in­crease de­fense co­op­er­a­tion with La Paz.

“The Is­lamic Repub­lic of Iran hon­or­ably de­clares that it is ready to co­op­er­ate with the friendly and in­de­pen­dent coun­tries and trans­fer its ex­pe­ri­ences in the de­fense, mil­i­tary and tech­ni­cal fields,” Gen­eral Hatami said dur­ing the meet­ing in Tehran.

“Based on this, we at­tach value to the de­vel­op­ment of de­fense-mil­i­tary ties with Bo­livia,” he added.

Ad­mi­ral Borda Sosa, for his part, lauded the Ira­nian na­tion and gov­ern­ment’s an­ti­im­pe­ri­al­ism spirit, and said, “We are highly in­ter­ested in the ex­pan­sion of the two coun­tries’ re­la­tions in tech­ni­cal, sci­en­tific and in­dus­trial fields and trans­fer of your valu­able ex­pe­ri­ences (to Bo­livia).”
