Ex­tra­di­tion of Pris­on­ers

IRNA* - Two Ira­nian cit­i­zens im­pris­oned in Thai­land were ex­tra­dited to Iran to spend the rest of their jail terms in their home coun­try, said Deputy Jus­tice Min­is­ter for Hu­man Rights and In­ter­na­tional Af­fairs Mah­moud Ab­basi.

‘The two pris­on­ers were ex­tra­dited to Iran based on the mu­tual judicial and le­gal agree­ments,’ said.

He also said that some other Ira­ni­ans are still in prison in Thai­land. Ab­basi also said that 500 Ira­ni­ans im­pris­oned in Afghanistan are to be ex­tra­dited to Iran; Iran is wait­ing for the Afghan au­thor­i­ties’ re­sponse.

Ear­lier on May 10, Iran Am­bas­sador to Kuwait Alireza Enay­ati said that 28 Ira­nian cit­i­zens im­pris­oned in Kuwait were ex­tra­dited to Iran to spend the rest of their jail terms in Iran.
