Thai­land Sup­ports Iran’s Stance on JCPOA

TEHRAN (IRNA) - Prime Min­is­ter of Thai­land Prayut Chan-o-Cha said on Wed­nes­day that Iran has ful­filled its com­mit­ments con­cern­ing the Joint Com­pre­hen­sive Plan of Ac­tion (JCPOA), and un­der­lined Thai­land’s full support for Iran’s stance.

He made the re­marks in a meet­ing with Vice-Pres­i­dent and government spokesman Mo­ham­mad Baqer Nobakht in Bangkok.

Nobakht is in Bangkok to at­tend the 74th meet­ing of the United Na­tions Eco­nomic and So­cial Com­mis­sion for Asia and the Pa­cific (ES­CAP).

In the meet­ing, the prime min­is­ter called for the ex­pan­sion of all-out ties in bank­ing and trade be­tween Bangkok and Tehran, and ex­pressed the hope that a new chap­ter of ex­pan­sion of re­la­tions and eco­nomic and trade co­op­er­a­tion be­gins be­tween the two coun­tries.

Nobakht in­vited Prime Min­is­ter Chan-o-Cha to pay a visit to Tehran and hold joint meet­ing to de­velop eco­nomic and trade re­la­tions be­tween the two coun­tries.

Ti­tle of the 74th ES­CAP meet­ing in Bangkok is; ‘Sus­tain­able De­vel­op­ment with Fo­cus on Poverty and In­equal­ity in Asia and the Pa­cific’.

Nobakht is to de­liver speech in the meet­ing and also is to meet with the UN Un­der­sec­re­tary Gen­eral Shamshad Akhtar, who is head of ES­CAP com­mis­sion.
