Change of Battery at Oil Transfer Centers
TEHRAN – Old batteries in the 63/6 Kilovolt electrical substations in the Shohaday-e Tang Fani and Shahid Ghalandari (Baba Hossein) oil transfer centers were replaced with new ones.
According to the public relations of the Iranian Oil Pipeline and Communication Company Lorestan District, head of the electrical engineering unit of the company said that since those batteries were made of Nickel and Cadmium and due to its age, they needed to be replaced with new ones in order that operation for the safety of the equipment does not face any problem.
Ali Karami added that the problem in the batteries and their old age has led to some power outage and problems in the system of the oil transfer system.
He added that due to the efforts of the engineering unit, all old and worn-out batteries were replaced with new ones which are good quality and even cheaper than the previous ones.
