Pool spe­cial for peo­ple with dis­abil­ity opened in Sari

TEHRAN — A spe­cially-de­signed pool for peo­ple with dis­abil­ity was opened in Sari, a city in north­ern prov­ince of Mazan­daran, on Thurs­day.

The com­plex, stretch­ing over a 1,350 square me­ters, is com­pris­ing of two pool, one for phys­i­cally chal­lenged peo­ple and the other for per­sons with vi­sion loss, IRNA quoted Anoushir­van Mohseni- Band­pey, care­taker for wel­fare min­istry, as say­ing.

It was con­structed with a bud­get of 60 bil­lion ri­als (nearly $1.5 mil­lion) pro­vided by the govern­ment, Mohseni- Band­pey added.

Based on the fig­ures an­nounced by Mazan­daran prov­ince wel­fare or­ga­ni­za­tion some 48,000 peo­ple with dis­abil­i­ties are liv­ing in the re­gion.
