Sto­ries from Iran pub­lished in “Il richi­amo della Per­sia” in Italy

TEHRAN – Sev­en­teen sto­ries by Ira­nian writ­ers have been pub­lished in a book ti­tled “Il richi­amo della Per­sia” (“The Call of Per­sia”) in Italy, pub­lisher Ar­te­baria has an­nounced.

The sto­ries have been ex­clu­sively trans­lated by the Italy-based Ira­nian writer Maryam Rahimi.

One of the sto­ries is au­thored by Rahimi her­self. Oth­ers are from Mona Rasta, Arash Mah­mudi, Nil­u­far Mehrpar­var, Va­hab Nazari, Piruz Ebrahim, Mansur Alimoradi, Mo­jdeh Sha­ban, Behnam Al­lami, Razieh Me­hdizadeh, Yasser Noruzi, Farid Hos­seinian, Fate­meh Bakhshi and Saedi Bardestani.

Rahimi’s first novel, “Un sus­surro nel silen­zio” (“A Whis­per in the Si­lence”), was pub­lished in 2000.

She is also the writer of “Yalda la notte lunga e la lotta dura”, “Un pugno della mia terra” and “Il sogno verde di Te­heran”.

A Per­sian trans­la­tion of “Un pugno della mia terra” by Na­hal Mahzuf was pub­lished by Vara­j­vand Pub­li­ca­tions in Tehran in 2016.
