Zarif to visit Iraq Sun­day

TEHRAN – Ira­nian For­eign Min­is­ter Mo­ham­mad Javad Zarif is sched­uled to leave Tehran for Baghdad on Sun­day.

For­eign Min­istry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Satur­day that a high rank­ing eco­nomic del­e­ga­tion will ac­com­pany Zarif in the trip.

CEOs of dozens of en­tre­pre­neur com­pa­nies will ac­com­pany the for­eign min­is­ter, he added.

Zarif is sched­uled to meet with high-rank­ing Iraqi of­fi­cials, at­tend joint busi­ness fo­rums in sev­eral Iraqi cities, in­clud­ing Karbala and Su­lay­maniyah.

Ira­nian Oil Min­is­ter Bi­jan Nam­dar Zan­ganeh was in Baghdad on Fri­day to dis­cuss ex­pan­sion of en­ergy ties.
